Short Impressions for Vibraphone and Piano

This piece was written my freshmen year as my final for the introductory composition class. I wanted to explore composing in different styles using short miniatures, so I wrote what is now the first and last movement. During my second semester, I wrote the middle two, further exploring different aesthetics. Being my first full work written at SMU, it was my one of my first opportunities to implement techniques that I wanted to explore, which include quotation, contemporary structure, and extended percussion techniques.
